From Inspiration to Print – An analogue Risoprinting workshop Friday 6.11.2026, 10:00-17:00. THE WORKSHOP IS FULLY BOOKED! Join us at If By Magic for a fully analogue, one-day Risography workshop. During the workshop, you’ll design, make and print your own two-colour A3 artwork. The focus is on making by hand, spontaneity and imperfection: drawing, painting, and collage – hands-on and totally analogue. Your finished piece could be an art print, poster, zine, postcards, or something else entirely No previous experience is required. You don’t need to prepare anything in advance, although it can be helpful to have a rough idea of what you might like to make. We provide all the tools and materials, but if there’s something particular you’d like to use – your favourite pen or your own collage materials, for example – feel free to bring it along. The workshop lasts 7 hours and includes a lunch break. Tea/coffee and light snacks will be provided, but please bring your own lunch. The workshop takes place at the If By Magic studio in Vuosaari, a short walk from the metro station. The workshop is led by Robin Clifford Ellis, printmaker and co-founder of the If By Magic Risoprinting studio. Risography is a Japanese stencil-based printing technique using the Risograph printing machine. Situated somewhere between screen printing and photocopying, it is known for its bright colours, strong textures, and unmistakable look. ––– Please note!
