Grafia kouluttaa: Springtime forest, paper, scissors

This workshop is full!

In this day-long workshop, participants will get to explore the possibilities of paper cutting by creating nature-themed arrangements or decorations, using paper and scissors. The creation can be a colorful, springtime wreath, a paper flower bouquet or a nature-themed garland. Participants will have a chance to explore how in addition to traditional, gentle colors and shapes, nature can also be depicted using darker, more surprising color schemes and shapes.

Helsinki-based illustrator, photographer, and graphic designer, Anna Salmisalo, will be running the workshop. Anna graduated from Lahti Institute of Design and Fine Arts in 2010 and has worked as a freelancer and at a Helsinki-based design firm since then. In 2017 she founded her own firm, By Your Side Creative. Anna uses paper and scissors in her illustrations and draws inspiration from the colors and plentifulness of nature.

All materials are included in the price of the workshop, but feel free to bring your own paper or materials if you’d like. This workshop is only for members of Grafia. There is room for 10 participants.

Note! Members traveling from outside of the Helsinki metropolitan area to attend the workshop qualify for travel aid (max. 80€), according to the least expensive public transportation method. Please get in touch with Grafia’s office beforehand: grafia@grafia.fi.
