Luonnos-ikkuna showcases content related to visual communication and creative design. The aim is to highlight creative and open-minded content while sparking timely discussions. As an exhibition space, Luonnos-ikkuna works best for small exhibitions or installations. All members of Grafia can apply for an exhibition slot, either individually or as part of a group. We encourage applicants of all ages and backgrounds. For group applications, it is sufficient that one member of the group is a Grafia member. If you wish to join Grafia, you can submit a membership application during the exhibition call period. In your exhibition application, mention that you have applied for Grafia membership. Please note that if you have had an exhibition in Luonnos this year or the year before, you cannot apply for an exhibition time in Luonnos-ikkuna. The exhibition time of Luonnos or Luonnos-ikkuna can be received no more than once every three years. The exhibition time of Luonnos-ikkuna does not affect Grafia’s other grant applications. All the exhibition applications must be submitted via the online application system. The application period starts on 25 September at 9 am and ends on 20 October at 3 pm. Late, incomplete or improperly submitted applications will not be considered. There are four exhibition slots for 2026. The exhibitions for Luonnos-ikkuna will be curated by Grafia’s team, and all the applicants will be notified of the decision by the end of November 2025. Filling in the exhibition application The application can be submitted in Finnish or English. In the application, describe the exhibition concept and provide a draft of the installation plan. Explain how the exhibition is connected to visual communication and creative design. Attach a preliminary work plan, budget, short bios and CVs of the applicants, as well as photos and information about the works. You may apply for an exhibition slot featuring new or previously displayed works. Mention in your application if you are also applying for another exhibition space with the same exhibition idea or if the works have previously been exhibited somewhere. The preliminary budget should detail all exhibition-related expenses as clearly and realistically as possible. Grafia does not provide grants through this call, the budget helps curators to evaluate feasibility of the project. Please note that the applicant is responsible for all exhibition-related expenses. Grafia provides the exhibition space and promotes the exhibition through its communication channels. The applicant is responsible for installing, dismantling and restoring the exhibition space according to a mutually agreed plan. Grafia does not charge a commission for works sold during the exhibition. The applicant is responsible for any insurance of the works.
