Katri Astala’s exhibition, composed of woven works, translates texts into textiles and explores what makes text appear as text. The central work of the exhibition is a woven artist’s book in which the characteristic features of text, such as lines, columns, and grids, are translated into structures of weaving, and readable text gradually transforms into texture.Astala will present the woven artist’s book and the design process behind the works at Luonnos on Sat 28 Mar at 12:30 and 14:30.
