Join the Modern Calligraphy Workshop where we take a modern approach to the ancient art of calligraphy. No previous lettering experience is required, as the workshop will guide you through the basics of modern calligraphy step-by-step. By the end of the class, you will have learned the strokes, techniques and letterforms of modern calligraphy, using traditional tools like a pointed nib and ink. You will also put your new skills to practice and create your first ever modern calligraphy piece. This workshop is suitable for both left and right-handed calligraphers. Workshop is hosted by Aini Mäensivu, a creative entrepreneur and calligraphy teacher who has introduced over 2000 students to the art of modern calligraphy. The small group size allows for plenty of personal guidance as you learn a new skill in a safe, supportive and enthusiastic atmosphere. Workshop is available for Grafia members only.
